The 2008-2009 school year marks Coach Kerber’s 23rd year as ACC’s Cross Country Coach and his 20th year as head Track Coach. His resume also includes 30 years of total coaching experience including 10 years of high school basketball with stops at ACC and Aurora East. He brings 33 years of competitive racing experience from both the high school and collegiate levels as both a runner and coach. Personal records include 15:36 for 5K, 33:25 for 10K, 14:48 for 3 miles, 4:19 mile, and 1:56 in the 800. During, his tenure, Coach K has established the tradition that is ACC Cross Country and Track. He has coached 308 state qualifiers, 61 All-State Athletes, and 3 Individual State Champions. He has guided 12 cross-country team qualifiers and 9 individual qualifiers. This includes the 7th place finishes of the 1989 and 1996 boys’ teams, as well as 4 other top 10 finishes at State. He coached the girls’ track team to a 5th place finish at the State Meet in 2001 and 10th place in 2007,including 3 state champions. He has coached 20 3200 relay qualifiers;including 11 All-State teams. Coach Kerber was named Class A Cross Country Coach of the Year in 1995 and Kane County Chronicle Girls' Coach of the Year for 2007. He also was named ACC Coach of the year in 2006 and 2007. He has a wealth of knowledge about the sport and his training philosophy plays a large part in the continued success of Aurora Central Catholic Cross Country and Track.

German Arroyo - Assistant Coach: Cross Country (2008-present)
German is entering his 1st year as a coach for ACC Cross Country, yet he has extensive experience in coaching and working with young people. His organizational skills and demeanor with the athletes will make him an outstanding addition to our program! According to Coach Kerber, "German will be responsible for meet management since the Chargers will be hosting the legendary Charger Classic Invite, the SCC Conference Finals, and another Class 2A Regional."
David Christenson- Assistant Coach- Track
Megan Craig - Assistant: Track (2006-present)

Coach Craig is another former ACC athlete coming back to coach. After high school, Megan went on to Benedictine University where she was a stand-out thrower. She looks to impart her experiences in coaching the discus and shot put at ACC. These experiences were definitely relevant after Coach Craig helped lead double state qualifier (Shot Put, Discus) Ashley Patterson and shot put qualifier, Zeus Gonzalez to State in 2007.
Eric Edmonds - Assistant: Track (2007-present)
Eric Edmonds, class of 2005, was a state qualifier in track in 2003 on the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relays. He was also a member of the 2004 All-State 4x400 meter relay. His expertise in the sprints makes him an invaluable asset to the coaching staff. He will be working closely with the relays and will be taking Steve Bohr and Nick Puscas under his tutelage.

Danny Hernandez - Assistant: Track (2008-present)
Coach Hernandez is another proud alumni of ACC that has returned to give back to the program. Coach Hernandez had an outstanding career in Track and Cross Country at ACC. He was a three-time state qualifier in track as a mainstay on 3 All-State Relays for the Chargers. He qualified twice in the 3200 relay with a 4th place finish in 2002 and 3rd place finish in 2003. He also finished in 9th with the 1600 relay team in 2003. He was a team captain and two-time state qualifier in Cross Country as a 16:10 3 miler! Danny went on to Aurora University where he competed in Cross Country and Track while earning a degree in exercise science! He is currently pursuing his Masters Degree. According to Coach Kerber, "Danny Hernandez was an outstanding leader for us in his years at ACC, and we look for him to transfer those skills and experience to the current athletes at ACC!"
T.J. Kerber - Assistant: Track (2005-present)
This will be Coach T''s 3rd year coaching in the Track program at ACC. He will be directing the sprint relays again this year. T.J. was a 3 sport athlete at ACC earning 7 varsity letters and earning All- SCC Honors as a member of the 400 relay team in 2004. What has started as an internship may blossom into a great future career. T.J. is an excercise science major at North Park University where he is also be a member of the Viking Football and Track teams. T.J. is starting an internship at Northwestern University as a strength and conditioning coach for the Wildcat Football program.
Jim Nagel – Assistant: Cross Country and Track (2004-present)

Coach Nagel is the head jumps coach for the Charger track team. Jim has carved himself a reputation as being one of the best jump coaches in the Fox Valley area. He brings a wealth of experience as a coach on the club level. He was quarterback of a State Championship High School Football Team and currently participates in Triathlons. Coach Nagel brings a wide knowledge of training programs and injury prevention exercises in order to develop Charger athletes for peak performance at a State-Caliber level. Coach Nagel has been part of the driving force behind Ashley Kasnick's two state championships in the 100 meter hurdles. He has also coached 4 State qualifiers in the high jump over the past 2 years (2006-2007).
Karl Regnier - Co-Head Coach: Track (1991-2000)
Assistant Coach: Track (2001-2003, 2007-present)

Aurora Central Catholic is pleased to announce Coach Regnier's return to coaching Track at ACC after a 3-year hiatus. Coach Regnier has Coached Cross Country and Track at ACC for a total of 12 years. He will be helping to direct the sprints and relays. Coach Regnier was co-coach of the year in Cross Country in 1995 along with Coach Kerber, and has coached several state qualifiers in track. Coaches Regnier and Kerber have been close friends for the past 28 years and have coached together for a total of 18 years on both the high school and junior high levels.
Darryl Robertson - Assistant: Track (2005-present)

This will be Coach Robertson's 3rd year in directing the vault program at ACC! According to Coach K, "We are really fortunate to have Darryl with us. With his experience in the arena of pole vaulting, he has so much to offer athletes." The former High School Track teammate of Coach Kerber at Aurora West High School, was the IHSA State Champion in 1979. He went on to a brilliant career at SIU where his 18'-5" pole vault PR took him to the 1988 Olympic Trials. He has coached 2 State Qualifiers in the pole vault over the past two years (2006-2007).
Jesse Rocha – Assistant: Cross Country and Track (2003-2007)

The 2006-2007 school year marks the 4th year of Coach Rocha’s tenure at Aurora Central Catholic. An alumnus of ACC and a member of the 1989 Cross Country team, Jesse has a lot to offer the Charger squad. His background in physical education makes him a valuable asset to the Cross Country and Track teams. He works with various levels of the program and efficiently facilitates the management of meets. He is also in charge of the Field Events for the Track Team in the spring and had a hand in guiding Ashley Patterson to Charleston this past season (2007).

Heather Schwebke - Assistant: Track (2005, 2007-present)
Coach Schwebke is another ACC alum coming back to impart her knowledge on young athletes. As a 2004 grad of Aurora Central Catholic, Heather was an All-SCC athlete in the Hurdles. She will be assisting Coach Nagel with the hurdlers this year after a one-year respite.
Kevin Steder - Assistant: Track (2004-present)

According to Coach Kerber, "Kevin Steder can flat out coach, and will be a tremendous addition to our regular coaching staff." Coach Steder was a former head coach in Track and Cross Country at Driscoll Catholic High School in the mid to late 80s and then built a dominant track program on the Junior High level at Holy Angels Catholic School in Aurora, winning numerous city championships. Coach Steder works with the sprints, jumps, and relays. He has been instrumental in leading the sprint and jump programs to new levels.
Don Sullivan - Assistant: Cross Country, Track (2003-present)

Coach Sullivan has been a long-time coach at various different high schools throughout Illinois. He comes to ACC with a wealth of knowledge about the sport and helps out on all levels of the program. His specialization is development and training. He is a big believer in form drills and is often seen with his University of Illinois jacket that he purchased from Paul and Bill's. He also coordinated the purchase of custom t-shirts for the 2006 cross-country team. He and Coach Kerber are great friends. Coach Sullivan resides in Batavia and is a huge Bulldog fan. Coach Sullivan will be splitting hid time this spring between work, the Waubonsee Valley Girls' Badminton Team, and the ACC Track squad.
Ray Villa - Assistant: Cross Country, Track (2007-present)
Coach Villa is another proud alumni who has come back to coach at ACC. He is entering his 2nd year as a coach for the Chargers. Ray was an outstanding 7 time state qualifier in Cross Country and Track at ACC.
Those qualifications culminated in what Coach Kerber describes as "one of the greatest 3200 relay legs run in ACC history." His leg led his team to a 3rd place finish at the State meet in 1998. Ray also went on to be a national qualifier in college. We are fortunate to have his insight and experience! He knows exactly how a program should run, and a deep understanding of what the athlete experiences! Ray is also a certified personal trainer.
Michelle White - Assistant: Cross Country (2007)
Michelle graduated from Bendictine University in May 2007 and is close friends with Coach Craig. As an Eagle at BU, she competed on both the cross country and track teams and earned a total of 7 first-team All-Conference awards in the Northern Athletics Conference and an honorable mention in both sports. She competed in the 5,000 and 10,000 in college as well as the 4x1 and 4x4 relay teams. Coach White held the number one spot on the Lady Eagles Cross Country team and ran a PR of 21:06 for 5K which earned her a spot on the All-Time Leaderboard. She is also on the leaderboard for her 26:01 6K. A graduate of Ridgewood high school, she is a great asset to the coaching staff. Before coming to ACC, Michelle was a volunteer track coach at St. Joan of Arc Academy from 2005-2007 where the team was conference champ in '05 and '06 and runner-up in '07. Coach White brings several years of valuable experience to the ACC Program and will help continue its tradition of excellence.

Lee Angar --- Assistant:Track 2009
Coach Angar comes to ACC after a long and successful career (38 years} as a teacher and Track coach at Oswego H.S. In high school he was a stand-out sprinter in the state of Connecticut. During his tenure at Oswego; Lee coached several state qualifiers in the sprints, hurdles and jumping events. According to Coach Kerber" Coach Angar is a master technician in training athletes in this great sport!" He has become a tremendous addition to the program and we are certainly lucky to have him with us!
